I am an experienced and passionate landscaper looking for new opportunities in Yorkshire. I recently relocated from London where, together with my business partner, I built The London Gardening Company into to a thriving business .
From passion to profession
My love for working with my hands and creating beautiful things led me to start a landscaping business. What began with small private projects soon grew into a company that worked on high-end residential gardens in central London, as well as beer gardens and rooftop terraces. Together with my business partner, we transformed our passion into a company with a £900,000 turnover.
Embracing challenges and opportunities
Starting out, I worked with a wide range of clients—from private homeowners to property management companies and subcontracting for main contractors. Central London’s competitive landscaping market posed significant challenges, including difficult access sites, tight schedules, and high expectations. We focused on delivering quality craftsmanship, building strong relationships with clients and contractors along the way.
Our niche became private gardens for prime and super-prime properties, where attention to detail and delivering on tight timelines were key to our success.
Project management & team growth
My role was managing the construction side of the business—pricing tenders, programming works, and maintaining communication with clients and suppliers. But what I’m most proud of is the team we built. Through dedication and training, we were able to create a skilled workforce committed to the same high standards that defined our company.
Looking ahead
From small beginnings, we grew the business into a trusted name in the industry. Our reputation for quality allowed us to take on increasingly complex projects. As I reflect on this journey, I’m excited for the future of landscaping—particularly how innovation and sustainability will shape the next generation of outdoor spaces.
